Staff have already <br />notified property owners, advising them that higher levels of lead were found in the vicinity and informing <br />them of steps they can take to reduce exposure, including running water before drinking and replacing <br />any copper piping with lead solder. Staff also prepares a Water Quality Report each year and notifies all <br />water customers, including tenants of multi-family properties who don’t receive a water bill directly from <br />the City, when it is available. The report includes a section regarding lead in drinking water and how to <br />minimize exposure.
