ATTY/RESO.0102/CC RESO AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY AND WAGE PLAN (LIBRARIAN I_II AND LEAD LIBRARIAN) <br />REV: 10-16-25 MI <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16363 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY AND <br />WAGE PLAN TO UPDATE SALARY RANGES FOR CLASSIFICATIONS <br />IN THE CHIEF OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION, THE REDWOOD CITY <br />MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION, AND THE <br />CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEE GROUP, AMENDING THE JOB <br />DESCRIPTION FOR CLASSIFICATION OF LIBRARIAN I/II TO INCLUDE <br />A LEAD LIBRARIAN LEVEL, AND ESTABLISHING SALARY RANGE <br />FOR CLASSIFICATION OF LEAD LIBRARIAN <br />WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved a 3% cost-of-living adjustment <br />effective October 6, 2025, for classifications in the Chief Officers’ Association (“COA”), <br />the Redwood City Management Employees’ Association (“RCMEA”), and the Confidential <br />Employee Group, as listed in Exhibit A-1, A-2, A-3, and Exhibit B; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested that the job description for Librarian <br />I/II be amended to meet the current and future operational needs for the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the classification specifications as described in Exhibit A-4 were <br />prepared by Human Resources staff in consultation with department management, to <br />ensure the foreseeable needs of the organization were met. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br />incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2.The City’s Classification and Salary and Wage Plan is hereby amended to <br />increase salaries for COA, RCMEA, and Confidential Employee classifications as listed <br />in Exhibits A-1. A-2 and A-3, and in the full salary plan attached as Exhibit B, amend job <br />description for Librarian I/II to include a Lead Library level as listed in Exhibit A-4, and set <br />the salary range for the Lead Librarian level of this classification as listed in Exhibit A-5, <br />and in the full salary plan attached as Exhibit B. <br />3.This resolution shall be effective upon the date of its adoption. <br />* * *
