ATTY/RESO.0102/CC RESO AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY AND WAGE PLAN (LIBRARIAN I_II AND LEAD LIBRARIAN) REV: 10-16-25 MI Page 1 of 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16363 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY AND WAGE PLAN TO UPDATE SALARY RANGES FOR CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE CHIEF OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION, THE REDWOOD CITY MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION, AND THE CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEE GROUP, AMENDING THE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CLASSIFICATION OF LIBRARIAN I/II TO INCLUDE A LEAD LIBRARIAN LEVEL, AND ESTABLISHING SALARY RANGE FOR CLASSIFICATION OF LEAD LIBRARIAN WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved a 3% cost-of-living adjustment effective October 6, 2025, for classifications in the Chief Officers’ Association (“COA”), the Redwood City Management Employees’ Association (“RCMEA”), and the Confidential Employee Group, as listed in Exhibit A-1, A-2, A-3, and Exhibit B; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested that the job description for Librarian I/II be amended to meet the current and future operational needs for the City; and WHEREAS, the classification specifications as described in Exhibit A-4 were prepared by Human Resources staff in consultation with department management, to ensure the foreseeable needs of the organization were met. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1.The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. 2.The City’s Classification and Salary and Wage Plan is hereby amended to increase salaries for COA, RCMEA, and Confidential Employee classifications as listed in Exhibits A-1. A-2 and A-3, and in the full salary plan attached as Exhibit B, amend job description for Librarian I/II to include a Lead Library level as listed in Exhibit A-4, and set the salary range for the Lead Librarian level of this classification as listed in Exhibit A-5, and in the full salary plan attached as Exhibit B. 3.This resolution shall be effective upon the date of its adoption. * * *
