Staff <br />estimates an additional $40,000 will be needed for marketing, equipment and supplies, and staffing costs <br />to support the five weeks of performances for a total cost of $335,000. Revenue is estimated at $400,000 <br />based on ticket sales in 2024 and prior years. A midyear budget amendment will be submitted to account <br />for the estimated cost and associated revenues; no additional funding is required. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council could choose not to enter into the Agreement and to not hold the Zoppé Circus this year, <br />in which case no modification of parking time limits in the Library parking lots is necessary. <br />The City Council could choose to enter into the Agreement for the Circus Performances but not modify <br />parking time limits in the Library parking lots. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Attachment A – Live Performance Agreement with Zoppé Circus <br />Attachment B – Resolution of the City Council of the City of Redwood City establishing a temporary one- <br />hour time limit on the use of parking spaces in Library Lots A, B, and C <br />REPORT PREPARED BY: <br />Lucas Wilder, Assistant Director <br />lwilder@redwoodcity.org <br />(650) 780-7340 <br />8.E. - Page 3 of 18 <br />327
