Provide recycled water (purple pipe) facilities in accordance with Engineering Standards for dual <br />plumbing, irrigation, and other warranted uses per the Recycled Water Ordinance, Chapter 38. Services that are to be supplied <br />by recycled water (either at the time of project completion or at a future date) shall be designed to properly function at the design <br />pressure required by Engineering. Upon final determination by the City that recycled water is available for the property, the <br />Applicant shall connect the project to the recycled water system. Pipe material for internally dual plumbed systems intended for <br />the conveyance of recycled water shall be constructed of non-metallic materials as allowed in the California Plumbing Code, and <br />in accordance with the City’s Recycled Water Development Standard (Attachment-U). Enter into a Recycled Water Use Agreement and hire an engineer licensed in California and experienced <br />in the field of wastewater treatment to prepare a recycled water report for dual plumbed facilities, pursuant to California Water <br />Code section 13522.5 and in accordance with California Code of Regulations sections 60314 and 60323 (found within Title 22, <br />Division 4, Chapter 3). Submit the first draft of the report and the signed agreement to Engineering for routing to the Public Works <br />Department. Submit an approved Recycled Water Report, including the cross-connection control test method, <br />confirming that all applicable plumbing systems passed a cross-connection control test, performed by a Cross-Connection Control <br />Specialist Certified through the CA-NV Section of the AWWA and observed by Public Works staff. The Applicant is responsible for <br />all fees associated with the performance of the cross-connection control test.
