Learn why this is important <br />Aug 10, 2025 <br /> <br />To the Redwood City Council and Water Department <br />Officials, <br /> <br />I am writing to formally protest the proposed water rate <br />hike for Redwood City. This increase is simply too <br />expensive, and it will have a particularly harmful impact <br />on seniors who live on fixed incomes. <br /> <br />Contrary to popular belief, many homeowners in <br />Redwood City are not wealthy and cannot afford yet <br />another rate hike. In 2024, we were already hit hard by a <br />series of record-breaking PG&E rate increases, all <br />approved by the California Public Utilities Commission <br />(CPUC).
