Learn why this is important
Dear Members of the Redwood City Council,
Solid Waste removal rate increases are a continual issue where we as residents don't really
have any control over the cost of providing this service as it currently exists. For us as a 2
person household on a small lot, waste pick up on a weekly basis is not necessary. Rather, we
would propose a reduction in service and therefore a reduction in cost to pick up once every 2
weeks. In order to avoid cheating the system, bins could be clearly marked for this reduced
service schedule for families that wish to participate and that the drivers will know to collect
only on the appropriate day. Thank you for your consideration.
John Spotorno
1028 Harrison Avenue, Redwood City, CA 94062
