Learn why thisis important <br />Hello, <br />I wish the submit this email as written protest of the proposed solid waste rate increases. I, <br />Michael Shostack, and my wife, Lauren Shostack are the customers of records and owners of <br />the parcel at 1503 Mitchell Way. <br />Attached is my signature attesting to this statement as the record owner. <br />While some level of rate increase is reasonable, Redwood City appears to be looking to move <br />up between 2-3 ranks in the stack rank of most expensive service rates for surrounding <br />agencies, placing it above much more affluent cities such as Menlo Park, Burlingame, San <br />Carlos, and presumably Palo Alto (though it is unclear why that was left out and only East <br />Palo Alto included in the comparison). <br />There is no justification for why we need to be placed above these other cities, why our costs <br />are higher, and why how you are justifying the target proposed rates.
