From:Lulu Li
To:GRP-City Council
Subject:[Alert. Email sent from outside the United States.] Public Comment for Agenda Item 8A for Nov 24th 2025
meeting (today)
Date:Monday, November 24, 2025 7:48:06 AM
You don't often get email from palmerandlulu@dabbelt.com. Learn why this is important
Dear City Council Members,
We are the owners of 508 Edgewood Road, Redwood City, CA 94062, and we are writing in
support of the changes proposed in Agenda Item 8A, Exhibit C (“Amending Chapter 30 –
Subdivisions”), Section 30.76 (“Urban Lot Split Requirements”), Part D2.
We appreciate the City’s effort to refine and clarify the Urban Lot Split requirements in a way
that both aligns with state law and provides clearer direction for property owners. The
proposed changes to Part D2 help create a more practical and equitable framework for
homeowners seeking to undertake responsible improvements to their properties. In particular,
the revisions offer greater certainty, reduce unnecessary barriers, and encourage well-planned
development that is compatible with existing neighborhood character.
As long-time residents of Redwood City, we value policies that balance housing needs,
flexibility for homeowners, and thoughtful land-use planning. We believe the proposed
amendments serve those goals and will contribute positively to the community.
Thank you for your consideration and for your continued work on behalf of Redwood City
residents. We respectfully urge you to adopt the revisions to Section 30.76, Part D2 as outlined
in Agenda Item 8A.
Sincerely,
Daniel Dabbelt and Lulu Li
