REV: 10-02-25 LR
EXHIBIT “A”
SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE
1.Consultant Response to reported problems.
The Consultant will provide service and assistance as expeditiously as possible as
follows:
The following three levels of priority are established with regard to responding to
requests by the City for maintenance service.
a. Emergency requests. Every effort will be made to respond to emergency
requests for service within one hour. Emergency requests are justified when a
malfunction of equipment has a major effect on day-to-day operations. An example
of a justifiable emergency service request would be a major failure of the dispatch
console.
b. High priority service requests will be handled within 6 hours of notification. An
example of a high priority service request would be if the primary police radio channel
becomes non- operational and dispatch traffic is moved to a secondary channel.
c. Noncritical service requests will be handled within 24 hours of notification.
Examples include headset jack failures and reports of intermittent problems.
d. In all cases, every effort will be made to be available for immediate telephone
consultation for any problem. In most cases, telephone instructions can be immediately
given to City personnel on how to deal with an equipment failure.
2. Maintenance and Repair Services.
Consultant will make every effort to keep the equipment covered by this Agreement in
excellent working condition by using modern preventive maintenance techniques. The
goal is to prevent malfunctions that would affect day to day operations.
Consultant will maintain the equipment listed in the attached itemization labels ‘POLICE
PD-2 SYSTEM,” “POLICE PD-3 SYSTEM,” “DPW RADIO SYSTEM,” MISCELLANEOUS
EQUIP.,” and “Motorola gold elite console” in good working condition. All labor necessary
to accomplish preventive maintenance and repair will be provided without additional
charge.
It shall be the joint responsibility of the City and Consultant to maintain an accurate list of
equipment, which should be included on the equipment itemization and fee schedule. It
is understood that only equipment listed in the most current copy of the equipment
itemization is covered under the fixed fee proposal.
ATTY/AGR.2025.245/Telecommunications Engineering Associates (Page 11 of 14)
