REV: 11-14-25 LF FUNDING AGREEMENT FOR HUMAN SERVICES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND Peninsula Family Service THIS AGREEMENT for Human Services Financial Assistance Program (“Agreement”), made and entered into as of ____________________, 2025, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California (“City”), and Peninsula Family Service, a California nonprofit corporation(“Recipient”). Collectively, the City and Recipient will be referred to as the “Parties.” RECITALS A. WHEREAS, Recipient provides healthy eating opportunities for food- insecure older adults through weekday congregate meals, bi-monthly food distributions with Second Harvest, and fresh produce from the Fair Oaks Garden (“Program”); and B. WHEREAS, Recipient has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the Program for residents of Redwood City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026; and C. WHEREAS, City has reviewed the request and desires to allocate to Recipient the sum Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Recipient the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). for exclusive use by Recipient during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, to be used by Recipient solely for the purposes described in Section 2. 2. USE OF FUNDS. Recipient shall use the funds provided pursuant to Section 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit “A” (Program Objectives) attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. 3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program as described in Exhibit “A” to this Agreement shall be made without the prior written consent of City Manager. 4. PAYMENTS. Recipient will keep detailed and accurate records of all expenditures made and expenses incurred which are funded under this Agreement. Payments of funds allocated pursuant to Section 1 shall be made to Recipient within thirty (30) calendar days after this Agreement is fully signed and executed. 5. STANDARD OF SERVICE. Recipient warrants to the City that the Program will be performed to the highest standards provided for programs of a similar or like nature in the ATTY/AGR.2025.308/Peninsula Family Service (Fair Oaks Adult Activity Center) (Page 1 of 10) November 21
