ATTY/RESO.0123/CC RESO APPROVING SEVENTH AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT (CITY ATTORNEY) <br />REV: 12-01-25 MI <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16379 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AWARDING A PERFORMANCE BONUS, APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE SEVENTH <br />AMENDMENT TO THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY TO PROVIDE FOR ADJUSTMENT TO SALARY, AND <br />AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE AND SALARY <br />PLAN TO UPDATE THE SALARY RANGE TO INCORPORATE THE <br />SALARY ADJUSTMENT FOR THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority, the City Council periodically determines <br />whether to make adjustments to the salary and benefits plan for the appointed positions <br />of City Manager and City Attorney; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted an annual performance evaluation of <br />the City Attorney, and reviewed compensation with respect to survey data of comparable <br />positions in benchmark cities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council seeks to acknowledge the performance of the City <br />Attorney and ensure that salary remains competitive, and deems it appropriate to award <br />a one-time exceptional performance bonus to the City Attorney. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The City Attorney is hereby awarded a bonus of approximately 4.5% of <br />current salary, or Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000), in recognition of exceptional <br />performance pursuant to Section 3 of the City Attorney Employment Agreement and <br />Section II of the City of Redwood City Summary of Compensation and Terms of <br />Employment for the Executive Management Employee Group. <br />2. The Seventh Amendment to the City Attorney Employment Agreement, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A, to effectuate the salary adjustment is approved. <br />3.The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Seventh Amendment to City <br />Attorney Employment Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />4.The City’s Classification and Wage and Salary Plan is hereby amended to <br />reflect recommended salary, hereto attached as Exhibit B. <br />5.This resolution shall be effective upon the date of its adoption. <br />* * *
