This report provides an overview of the proposed <br />updates to these lists for City Council consideration and action. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Adopt a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redwood City approving an updated Parks Impact <br />Fee Project List as the Capital Improvement Plan for the Parks Impact Fee Program in compliance with <br />Government Code Sections 66016.5 and 66002; and <br />2. Adopt a resolution of the City Council of the City of Redwood City approving an updated <br />Transportation Impact Fee List as the Capital Improvement Plan for the Transportation Impact Fee <br />Program in compliance with Government Code Sections 66016.5 and 66002. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />California Assembly Bill (AB) 602, enacted into law on January 1, 2022, establishes specific guidelines and <br />requirements for the adoption of development impact fees by local agencies, including cities and counties, <br />within the State of California. This legislation particularly focuses on ensuring that these fees are <br />justifiable, transparent, and closely tied to the actual impact of new development projects.
