Page 3 of 4 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />performance, cost of living increases provided to other City employees, total compensation relative to the <br />City’s survey of benchmark cities, internal pay equity, and the current financial conditions of the City. <br />The Ad Hoc Committee recommends a 3% merit increase, which aligns with the City’s Compensation and <br />Philosophy Guidelines to pay within three percent of the median of the City’s labor market, and a $15,000 <br />bonus in recognition of exceptional performance, which is within the parameters of the City of Redwood <br />City Summary of Compensation and Terms of Employment for the Executive Management Employee <br />Group. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The 3% merit increase and one-time bonus of $15,000, recommended by the Ad Hoc Committee, is <br />included in the fiscal year 2025-26 budget. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. The City Council may choose not to grant a compensation adjustment for the City Attorney. <br />2.
