Historically, some Executive Management employees have been able to <br />“bank” hours worked on a City recognized holiday. <br />Some employees in other bargaining groups either receive pay in lieu of <br />holidays or receive pay when working on a holiday. <br />Executive Management Banked Holiday Hours benefit includes: <br />If an employee is required to work on a City recognized holiday due <br />to an emergency or City-sponsored event, employee can “bank” <br />holiday hours to use as leave at a later date <br />In a non-emergency or City-sponsored event, employee must <br />obtain pre-approval to work on a City recognized holiday <br />Positions of City Manager, City Attorney, Assistant City Manager, <br />Police and Fire Chiefs, and Department Directors do not require <br />pre-approval to work on a City recognized holiday <br />8 of 11 <br />BANKED HOLIDAY HOURS BENEFIT
