Automatic Fire Sprinkler System: An automatic fire sprinkler system is required to be <br />installed in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1 (NFPA 13), throughout all buildings with a <br />Group R fire area. [CFC§903.2.8] Provide plans and hydraulic calculations as a deferred <br />submittal for the design of the fire sprinkler system. <br /> <br />52. Fire Alarm System: An Underwriters Laboratories Central Station fully addressable fire <br />alarm systems is required to be installed throughout the building, and in compliance with <br />NFPA 72. The fire alarm systems must also be provided with Underwriters Laboratories <br />Central Station Monitoring Service. Provide plans and voltage drop calculations as a <br />deferred submittal for the design of the fire alarm system and identify the company <br />providing the Underwriters Laboratories Central Station Monitoring Service. <br /> <br />53. Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System (ERRCS): An emergency responder radio <br />coverage system (ERRCS) is required. [CFC §510.1] <br /> <br />54. Fire Apparatus Access Roads: An approved fire apparatus access road must be provided. <br />A Class I automatic wet standpipe system was approved as an alternate method for <br />compliance. [CFC §503.1.1] The approved Alternate Methods and Materials Request <br />(AMMR) shall be applied to the plans prior to building permit application. <br /> <br />55. Aerial Fire Apparatus Access: Buildings greater than 30 feet in height, require aerial <br />(ladder truck) fire apparatus access, positioned parallel to the long side of the building. <br />No overhead utility or power lines, horizontal or vertical fixed obstruction are to be <br />located along the aerial fire apparatus access road, nor can they be located between the <br />aerial fire apparatus access road and the building that may obstruct aerial fire apparatus <br />operations. [CFC Appendix D§105.1] The approved AMMR shall be applied to the plans <br />prior to building permit application. <br /> <br />56. Required Fire Flow: Based on the proposed construction type of Type III-A, at 119,085 <br />square feet, the required fire flow for this project is 5,000 GPM at 20 psi residual pressure. <br />After allowing for a 50% reduction due to the installation of automatic fire sprinklers <br />meeting section 903.3.1.1 of the 2019 CFC (NFPA 13), the required fire flow for this <br />project is 2,500 GPM at 20 psi residual pressure. [CFC §507.1] Based on the required fire <br />flow of 2,500 GPM at 20 psi residual pressure, the required number of fire hydrants is <br />three with a spacing of 450 feet in accordance with Appendix C of the CFC. <br /> <br />57. Class I – Automatic Wet Standpipe Hose Station Outlets: Automatic wet standpipes are <br />required to be provided as addressed in the Approved AMMR, signed November 3, 2022,
