After the third offer of employment has been waived, the <br />candidate shall be removed from the eligible list. <br />11.7 Time Off for Examination <br />Promotional examinations scheduled by the City during an employee's regular <br />working hours may be taken without any loss in compensation. <br />11.8 Contract Employee Participation in Internal Recruitments <br />A contract employee who works for the City continuously for twenty-four (24) or more <br />months on a full-time basis, and who receives satisfactory overall performance <br />evaluations may compete for internal City recruitments. If the contract employee <br />meets minimum job qualifications and passes an oral board interview for the position <br />to which they applied, the contract employee will typically be placed on eligibility list. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 15 - PAY PRACTICES <br />15.1 Salary Plan for Regular and Term-Funded Employees <br />15.1.1 Cost of Living and Equity Adjustments: <br />Effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2025, there will be a <br />three percent (3%) cost of living increase for all regular and term-funded <br />classifications represented by the bargaining unit. An employee must be in full <br />paid status for the entire applicable pay period in which the retroactive <br />adjustment is paid to be eligible to receive the retroactive payment. <br />Effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2026, there will be a <br />three percent (3%) cost of living increase for all regular and term-funded <br />classifications represented by the bargaining unit. <br />Effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2027, there will be a <br />three percent (3%) cost of living increase for all regular and term-funded <br />classifications represented by the bargaining unit. <br />By October 1, 2026, the City will conduct a total compensation survey in <br />accordance with the parameters o <br />will reflect compensation for all comparable agencies, including Redwood City, <br />effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2027.
