Abode Communities <br />is a nonprofit social enterprise that has been rooted in community development throughout <br />the State of California since 1968. More than an affordable housing provider, Abode's <br />work fosters a culture of housing inclusion by integrating families and individuals with <br />neighborhoods so communities at -large can thrive.3 <br />Abode Communities has a demonstrated technical capacity and experience in developing, <br />owning, and operating affordable housing projects. Abode Communities' impact is realized <br />through its fully integrated and multi -disciplinary approach to community development. <br />Its professional services — real estate, architecture and property management — ensure the <br />organization's high-quality standard is brought to each and every residential community it <br />places in service. Above and beyond, its mission -critical on-site resident services are <br />complimentary social services that ensure families, seniors and people with special needs <br />can remain stable in their housing and ultimately, work toward self- sufficiency to improve <br />their livelihoods. <br />Abode has developed nearly 50 residential communities with more than 3,000 affordable <br />homes throughout Californian; invested, in collaboration with financial partners, some <br />$660 million in economic activity; generated more than $250 million in tax credit <br />financing; and secured more than $120 million in local funding sources for the provision <br />of service -enhanced affordable housing. <br />Abode understands the social, environmental, economic and physical issues often inherent <br />in the process of real estate development.
