Learn why this isimportant <br />Honorable Mayor Martínez Saballos, Vice Mayor Eakin, and Councilmembers: <br />I am writing in support of the recommendation from the City Council Ad Hoc Committee on <br />Special Events to adopt resolutions: 1) reaffirming the City’s commitment to civil liberties, <br />social justice, and a welcoming, inclusive, and safe community for all; and 2) affirming the <br />City’s authority to regulate and control the use of City property and facilities. <br />Immigrants are woven into the vibrant fabric of our community. We need to stand up locally <br />for our neighbors in a way that reflects our values, at this time of federal overreach and fear <br />mongering.
