Self-Insurance <br />CITY acknowledges that REDWOOD CITY may desire to self insure. Self-insurance <br />programs and self-insured retentions in insurance policies are permitted by CITY. If <br />REDWOOD CITY uses a self-insurance program or self-insured retention, REDWOOD <br />CITY must provide CITY with the same protection from liability and defense of suits as <br />would be afforded by first-dollar insurance. <br />F. Verification of Coverage <br />REDWOOD CITY shall furnish CITY with certificates of insurance and endorsements <br />affecting coverage required by this AGREEMENT. The certificates and endorsements <br />for each insurance policy are to be signed by a person authorized by that insurer to bind <br />coverage on its behalf. <br />Proof of insurance or self-insurance shall be emailed in pdf format to: <br />Riskmgmt@sanjoseca .gov : <br />G.
