Relocation Assistance Program Summary <br />This information statement is provided as courtesy by the City of Redwood City as a summary of its Relocation Assistance Program. If any <br />discrepancies exist between this and applicable laws and regulations, those laws and regulations shall prevail. <br />Page 1 <br />This standard information statement summarizes the City of Redwood City’s (City) Relocation Assistance <br />Program for properties purchased and/or developed with local and federal funding. This summary of <br />benefits has been provided for general information purposes only and should not be interpreted as law. <br />Please speak with a Relocation Advisor who can address questions about the City’s Relocation Assistance <br />Program. <br />Relocation Assistance Program Summary <br />Assurances <br />Uniform Treatment <br />Fair Program Implementation <br />Equitable Assistance <br />Relocation Assistance Program <br />Information and Assistance <br />No Displaced Person will Suffer <br />Disproportionate Injury as a Result of <br />a Project Designed to Benefit the <br />Public as a Whole <br />Minimum 90-Day Advance Notice of <br />Required Move <br />Right to Appeal <br />Relocation Assistance Program <br />Relocation Advisory Assistance <br />Relocation Advisors will work closely with each eligible <br />entity to help them through the Relocation process. <br />Each eligible entity will receive written notification about <br />their eligibility to receive assistance under the City’s <br />Relocation Assistance Program. <br />Moving Cost Payment <br />Each eligible entity will receive assistance with the cost to <br />disconnect, move, and reconnect their personal property. <br />Reestablishment Payment <br />Eligible small businesses can receive up to $33,200 to help <br />with the cost of reestablishing their small business. <br />Alternative In-Lieu Payment <br />Eligible small businesses can receive a payment of up to <br />$53,200 in lieu of other Moving and Reestablishment costs. <br />The City’s Relocation Assistance Program for this project reflects the following laws, regulations, <br />and guidance. <br />Federal Law. The Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, <br />as amended (URA) 42 U.S.C. 4601 et seq.; 49 CFR 1.85 <br />Federal Guidance. Regulations and Guidance through the Federal Highway Administration, 49 <br />CFR 1.85, and 49 CFR 24, and the California Department of Transportation Right of Way Manual <br />State Law.
