Summary of citizen participation process/Efforts made to broaden citizen participation <br />Summarize citizen participation process and how it impacted goal -setting <br />The City of Redwood City and its City Council followed its Community Participation Plan to develop the PY 202 6 Action Plan. The public input <br />process involved holding several public meetings and one pre-draft public hearing before the City Council public hearing and approval the PY <br />2026 Action Plan. All meetings were available in a hybrid format, with ways for residents to attend either in person or virtually. <br />The Housing & Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) was appointed by the City Council and one of their primary roles is to carry out the <br />processes mandated for the use and distribution of federal funds outlined in the City’s Community Participation Plan. The HHCC held a public <br />meeting on February 24, 2026, where CDBG applicants gave presentations and answered questions and held a pre-draft funding deliberations <br />public hearing on March 24, 2026, where the committee made funding recommendations for CDBG applications. <br />The City Council will hold a public hearing to approve the Action Plan on May 11, 2026. Public comments received during future meetings will be <br />incorporated in the final document. <br />In fall 2025, the City, in collaboration with 21 Elements, participated in a Countywide Anti-Displacement Survey as part of a countywide effort to <br />gather community input on housing stability and displacement concerns. The survey focused on topics such as housing affordability, <br />displacement risk, and related barriers to housing stability.
