<br /> Annual Action Plan <br />2026 <br />49 <br />OMB Control No: 2506-0117 (exp. 09/30/2021) <br />AP-50 Geographic Distribution – 91.220(f) <br />Description of the geographic areas of the entitlement (including areas of low -income and <br />minority concentration) where assistance will be directed <br />The City will provide programs and services identified in this Plan to households with the greatest need. <br />Therefore, most activities will serve eligible low-income households on a citywide basis, and the <br />applicants will apply for assistance on a program-by-program basis. All of the PY 2026 proposed projects <br />will serve low-income households citywide. <br />Geographic Distribution <br />Target Area Percentage of Funds <br />CityWide 100 <br />Low Income Census Tracts <br />Table 8 - Geographic Distribution <br /> <br />Rationale for the priorities for allocating investments geographically <br />The City’s primary strategy for the 2023 to 2027 Consolidated Plan is to reduce the housing cost burden <br />and creating suitable living environments. In making funding decisions, the City will continue to give <br />priority to activities that: <br />• Meet goals of the 2023-2027 Consolidated Plan; <br />• Demonstrate a significance of need; <br />• Serve eligible areas within Redwood City, especially targeting areas with high concentrations of <br />poverty; <br />• Are eligible projects or programs under HUD rules; and, <br />• Create visual impacts in the neighborhoods, particularly if an infrastructure project. <br />Discussion <br />The City will provide programs and services identified in this Plan to households with the greatest need. <br />The City has unspent prior year HOME funds from before the City joined the HOME Consortium that <br />have been allocated towards projects identified in previous Action Plans.
