ATTY/RESO.0040/CC RESO ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR FY 26-27 <br />REV: 06-16-26 MI <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />SECTION 4. Provision for Interim Expenditures After June 30, 2027; <br />Reappropriations. The City Manager and Finance Director are authorized and directed <br />to charge expenses incurred prior to July 1, 2027, to the appropriations of Fiscal Year <br />2026-27. The City Manager and Finance Director are further authorized to pay all <br />contractual obligations, including but not limited to payroll, contracts, and other expenses, <br />incurred between July 1, 2027 and the date that the appropriations are adopted for Fiscal <br />Year 2027-2028; to this end the City Council, on behalf of the City, appropriates 1/12 of <br />the amounts that were appropriated for operating purposes in Fiscal Year 2026-2027 to <br />each fund, to be effective July 1, 2027. Upon adoption of a budget for Fiscal Year 2027- <br />2028 this appropriation shall be superseded. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. Effective Date and Operative Date. In accordance with Section 51.5 <br />of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, this resolution shall be effective immediately <br />upon adoption. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />* * * <br />
