8. STAFF REPORTS <br />8.A. Review of supplemental Elections Code Section 9212 report on <br /> impacts of an initiative to impose additional rent control and <br /> just cause eviction limits in Redwood City, and take action as <br /> required by Elections Code Section 9215 <br /> <br /> Recommendation: <br />1. Receive the supplemental Elections Code Section 9212 Report on impacts <br />of the Proposed Ordinance (Attachment C); and <br /> 2. Pursuant to Elections Code Section 9215 take either of the following <br />actions: <br /> a. Adopt, without alteration, the Proposed Ordinance (Attachment A); or <br /> b. Adopt a resolution calling for an election to be consolidated with the <br />General Municipal Election and Statewide General Election on November <br />3, 2026, and submitting to the voters at that election an initiative <br />measure to amend the Redwood City Code to impose additional rent <br />control and just cause eviction limits.
