STAFF REPORTS <br /> <br /> 8.A. Review of supplemental Elections Code Section 9212 report on impacts of an <br />initiative to impose additional rent control and just cause eviction limits in <br />Redwood City, and take action as required by Elections Code Section 9215 <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Receive the supplemental Elections Code Section 9212 Report on impacts of <br />the Proposed Ordinance (Attachment C); and <br />2. Pursuant to Elections Code Section 9215 take either of the following actions: <br />a. Adopt, without alteration, the Proposed Ordinance (Attachment A) in <br />accordance with the provisions of Section 15 of the City Charter[LF1.1]; or <br />b. Adopt a resolution calling for an election to be consolidated with the Statewide <br />General Election on November 3, 2026, for the purpose of submitting to the <br />voters an initiative measure to amend the Redwood City Code to impose <br />additional rent control and just cause eviction limits.
