Learn why this isimportant <br />I oppose item 8A because I own an 18-unit family-owned building. Our rents here are <br />predominantly below the market value. I have 25 - 40 year tenants who reside here. My rents <br />range from 1100 - 2300. with the high cost of operating expenses, insurance, water, PG&E, <br />sewer, and garbage, taxes, maintaining the pool, environmental Health fees, Fire Dept fees, the <br />gardener, etc. Paying any additional fees is not feasible. The City requests affordable housing, <br />yet our expenses keep rising, and the small rent increases do not cover the additional costs to <br />fully maintain the property.
