Following the City’s 2023-2031 Housing <br />Element, this priority is to maintain and increase the diversity of housing types in <br />all City neighborhoods and preserve/protect its current affordable housing stock. <br />Goal 2 - Affordable Housing Preservation - Conserve and improve the <br />condition of the existing affordable housing stock and preserve affordable <br />housing developments at risk of conversion to market-rate housing. <br />Goal 3 - Special Needs Housing - Promote, encourage, and assist in <br />the development and preservation of housing that meets the needs of <br />special needs communities (e.g., persons living with disabilities, seniors, <br />Veterans, homeless, etc.) in Redwood City. <br />Description of Services to be Provided: <br />Implement a Home Rehabilitation Program that provides forgivable loans for low- <br />income or moderate-income households (following CDBG requirements for household <br />income) single family homeowners for substantial home rehabilitation and repair. Refer <br />to Exhibit C for detailed scope. Refer to Exhibit C for specific loan terms. <br />Primary Quantitative Objectives: <br />Home Rehabilitation Program will serve 5 Redwood City households. <br />NOTE: Performance will be measured by program objectives and quantitative goals.
