By roll call vote, appoint to the following: <br /> a. Board of Port Commissioners for 2 full-term seats expiring July 31, 2030; <br /> b. Arts Commission for 3 full-term seats expiring May 31, 2030; <br /> c. Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission for one partial <br />term seat expiring May 31, 2028 <br />2. By motion, authorize use of the current Board, Commission, and Committee <br />(BCC) applicant pool to fill any additional vacancies on the Arts Commission and <br />Board of Port Commissioners that may occur between now and January 31, 2027. <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />9.B.Consider whether to take a City Council position on the citizen-initiated ballot <br />measure on the November 2026 general election to amend the Redwood City <br />Code to impose additional rent control and just cause eviction limits <br />Recommendation: <br />1. Consider whether City Council will take a position, or take no position, on the <br />ballot measure to amend the Redwood City Code to impose additional rent <br />control and just cause eviction limits; and <br />2. If City Council takes a position on the ballot measure, determine whether the <br />legislative body will submit an argument and/or a rebuttal argument, including <br />the author(s) and signer(s) of each.
