Learn why this isimportant <br />Dear City Council Members, <br />My family owns an apartment complex in your area. It’s been in my family for generations. <br />The building is an older one, built in the 70’s. This generation is seeing the high cost of rent <br />control coupled with the high cost of upkeep, renovations, and city/state mandates. Is the point <br />of this measure to lose small apartment owners, so the big corporate owners can take over? At <br />some point, hopefully not too soon, our family will have to decide if providing housing is still <br />worth it, or if there are better investments for us elsewhere. We are happy to provide housing, <br />we maintain a well kept complex and provide very good management for our tenants. Please <br />consider not passing this recent housing measure 9B. <br />Yvette Laptalo
