12/07/2009 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14985 <br />RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />REQUESTING LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION <br />APPROVAL FOR EXTENSION OF WATER SERVICE OUTSIDE <br />JURISDICTIONAL BOUNDARIES PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT <br />CODE SECTION 56133 <br />WHEREAS, the property located at 999 Godetia Drive, Town of Woodside, <br />California (APN 068 - 302 -070 and 068 - 302 -080) (the "Property "), is connected to the <br />City's potable water service system; and <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Woodside is processing an application for construction <br />of a new single family residence at the Property that would require water service from <br />the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Property is outside the City's jurisdictional boundaries and the <br />sphere of influence, but within the City's water service area; and <br />WHEREAS, the property owner has provided documentation that water <br />extension will mitigate an existing public safety hazard, and the Town of Woodside has <br />determined that a fire hydrant is required in the immediate area to mitigate an existing <br />public safety hazard; and <br />WHEREAS, this project is exempt from CEQA (Section 15303(d) of Guidelines). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS, <br />1. The application is hereby adopted and approved by the City Council of the <br />City of Redwood City, and the City Manager or his designee is directed to submit an <br />ATTY /RESO /RESO.1964 1 14985 <br />120209 MUFF # 802 <br />
