<br />Grace Le, Redwood City <br />Redwood Shores Levee Certification Proposal <br />September 15, 2009 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Task 3: Geotechnical Exploration I Levee Certification Services <br /> <br />Please see the attached Proposal For Levee Certification Services provided by Engeo <br />Incorporated for additional soil exploration and geotechnical data to be included as part of the <br />levee certification package. <br /> <br />Task 4: San Carlos Airport Levee segment O&M Manual <br /> <br />Under this task, a standalone O&M Manual for the San Carlos Airport flood barrier system will be <br />prepared. The operations and maintenance manual will identify the triggers and management <br />actions associated with pre-deployment of the flood barrier system, deployment operations during <br />flood hazard events, and maintenance of the flood barrier system during storage periods. The <br />O&M Plan will also identify the need for, and development of, required flood warning system <br />procedures along with a formal plan of action. <br /> <br />Task 5: Levee Certification Documentation <br /> <br />Levee Certification packages will be compiled according to FEMA guidelines, for all three levee <br />segments requiring certification. Certification documents will be prepared for the following levees: <br /> <br />· Redwood Shores Levee System; <br /> <br />· City of San Carlos Levee System and; <br /> <br />· San Carlos Airport Levee (County of San Mateo). <br /> <br />A separate certification binder will be compiled for each certifying agency and will include all <br />required documentation and studies discussed above (Coastal Engineering Assessment, Interior <br />Drainage Study, Redwood Shores Lagoon and Pump Station O&M Manual including system <br />reliability, San Carlos Airport Flood Barrier System O&M Manual, City of San Carlos levee O&M <br />Manual, Geotechnical Exploration Report, BKF design documents for the Redwood Shores <br />Levee Improvement Project, and any available as-built information from constructed levee <br />improvements. <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />FEE & SCHEDULE <br /> <br />The estimated fee for the work is shown on the attached spreadsheet.
