<br />community at large to improve the quality of life in Redwood City for children, <br />youth and families. <br /> <br />b. To provide oversight and support to ongoing collaborative efforts <br />and programs that are working toward Redwood City 2020's agreed upon <br />outcomes (Community Schools in Redwood City School District, the Sequoia <br />Teen Resource Center and Wellness Center, and the Community Youth <br />Development Initiative) <br /> <br />2. Term. This agreement shall be effective from September 1, 2009 until <br />June 30, 2010. <br /> <br />3. Structure of Redwood City 2020. <br /> <br />a. Coordinatinq Council. The Redwood City 2020 Coordinating <br />Council is composed of up to two representatives from each of the collaborative <br />partner's governing boards. <br /> <br />b. Cabinet. The Redwood City 2020 Cabinet is composed of one <br />executive leader from each of the partner institutions - the City, County, <br />Elementary School District, High School District, Kaiser Permanente, the John <br />W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities, the Sequoia Healthcare <br />District, Shinnyo-en Foundation, Silicon Valley Community Foundation and <br />Canada College. <br /> <br />c. The Coordinating Council and the Cabinet follow the structure <br />described in Exhibit A (Governance Structure), which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />4. Redwood City 2020 Staff. It is understood that Redwood City 2020 will require <br />the services of an Executive Director and related support staff for its day- to-day <br />operations. The Cabinet has designated the City of Redwood City to contract for the <br />Executive Director, Administrative Secretary and necessary staff positions on behalf of <br />RC 2020. The City serves as the fiscal agent for the employees and related expenses. <br /> <br />5. Fundinq. Each of the Parties shall contribute at least twenty-five thousand <br />dollars ($25,000) annually to support the work of Redwood City 2020. The Partners <br />acknowledge that they will make a twenty-five thousand dollar ($25,000) contribution for <br />Fiscal Year 2009-2010 within sixty (60) days after execution of this Membership <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />a. As Fiscal Agent, the City is authorized to receive money on behalf <br />of Redwood City 2020 and deposit same into a special deposit account in the <br />City's General Fund. The money received on behalf of Redwood City 2020 shall <br />be disbursed as requested by the Redwood City 2020 Executive Director in <br />writing, subject to City administrative procedures. <br /> <br />Atty/Agr/RC2020 Master Agreement <br />040104 <br /> <br />2 <br />
