R.EP.()R.T 7A age 1 To the Honorable Mayor and City Council from the Ci Clerk January 11, 2010 SUBJECT City Council appointments to the Planning Commission RECOMMENDATION Appoint two applicants to the Planning Commission. The first action will be to vote for the seat that expires June 30, 2012 and the second action will be to vote for the one expiring June 30, 2010. BACKGROUND After the November 2009 election, two vacancies occurred in the Planning Commission as two Planning Commissioners were elected to Council seats. One of the seats expires June 30, 2012 and the other June 30, 2010. The recruitment period for these seats ran between November 9,2009 and December 7, 2009. The interviews were held at the Council Chambers on December 14, 2009. Since the closing of the recruitment period, three applicants withdrew their interest to be considered.
