<br />6.2C <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATION REPRESENTING <br />ANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUE FROM SAMARITAN HOUSE FOR STATE <br />OF CALIFORNIA HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION AND RAPID RE.HOUSING <br />PROGRAM (HPRP) AND ADDING ANTICIPATED GRANT REVENUE INTO <br />GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR APPROPRIATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 13, 2009, the City Council of the City of Redwood City ("City <br />Council") approved its Fiscal Year 2009-2010 budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Housing and Community <br />Development recently awarded a grant to Samaritan House which included $30,000 for the City <br />of Redwood City ("City") to be expended for Housing and Stabilization Services to be provided <br />by the Information and Referral Program at the Fair Oaks Community Center; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 11, 2010, the City Council authorized the City Manager to <br />execute the Memorandum of Understanding with Samaritan House for County of San Mateo <br />and State of California Housing and Community Development Department Federal Stimulus <br />Funds for Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Services; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department is requesting <br />that the additional grant funding from Samaritan House for Housing and Stabilization Services in <br />the amount of Thirty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($30,000) be included into the City's General <br />Fund. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Finance Director shall establish an appropriation in the amount of $30,000 <br />representing anticipated grant revenue and shall include said anticipated revenue in the General <br />Fund for the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Budget. <br /> <br />2.
