The plan is funded in part by a federal grant which is administered by the
State of California. As the Fire Department incurs expenditures for the development of
this plan, the City will be reimbursed for these costs.

ALTERNATIVES
The Council may choose not to approve this resolution, in which case staff will not be
authorized to request reimbursement on behalf of the City of Redwood City.

FISCAL IMPACT

The estimated costs for development of the disaster mitigation plan are $64,600 for
Fiscal Year 2009-10. Of the total costs, $48,450 or 750/0 are reimbursable under this
grant. The Fire Department's FY 2009-10 budget includes sufficient funds to cover the
City's matching portion of this grant, which is $16,150 or 25% of the total cost of plan
development.

DoJe +'~("...c~
Dave Pucci 'f~w
Battalion Chief

"/
~Skinner
,I Fire Chief

p
Peter Ingram. ----
City Manager

ATTACHMENTS
Resolution

RELATED DOCUMENTS IN CITY CLERK'S OFFICE
1.
