Vice Mayor Howard and Council Member Hartnett presented gifts to their colleagues. <br /> They also presented a token of appreciation to their appointees: the City Manager, City <br /> Attorney and City Clerk. Vice Mayor Howard thanked her family for all their support and <br /> the community. She acknowledged those who had come from far and near to share in <br /> this tribute meeting. She spoke about her 15 years on Council and how much she values <br /> being of service and improving the quality of life of her constituents. Council Member <br /> Hartnett provided some insights on what is required to be successful in life. He also read a <br /> poem as his departing message. Both Council Members were grateful for the <br /> camaraderie they enjoyed and created with their Council. They each recognized specific <br /> members of their families present in the audience and how various community members <br /> have impacted their lives. Both Council Members received standing ovations from the <br /> public present. <br /> 8.
