WHEREAS, 'on the 28th day of February, 1955, Ordinance No. <br />789 Relating to the Formation of Parking District No. 1 was <br />adopted; <br />WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of May, 1955, said Council adopt- <br />ed its Resolution No. 1864 of Intention to Make Changes and <br />Modifications, Parking District No. 1, by the terms of which <br />it declared its intention to make certain changes and modifi- <br />cations in the properties proposed to be acquired, as more par- <br />ticularly therein set forth, all in accordance with a supple- <br />mental report showing the effect thereof upon the estimates and <br />other data given in the original report, which original report <br />was prepared by the City Engineer and approved by thi s Council; <br />WHEREAS, said proposed changes and modifications were <br />duly noticed and heard on Tuesday, the 31st day of May, 1955, <br />at which time all persons interested were duly heard and the <br />Council adopted its Resolution No. 1377 Ordering Changes and <br />Modifications; <br />WHEREAS, the City has determined the amount necessary to <br />make the proposed acquisitions and improvements, to pay the <br />incidental expenses in connection therewith and the proceedings <br />therefor; and <br />WHEREAS, all acts, conditions and things required by the <br />Constitution and laws of the State of California and the Charter <br />of said City, and the Parking District Law of 1951 as modified <br />by said Ordinance, to be done, to happen and to be performed <br />precedent to and in the issuance of said bonds, have been done, <br />have happened and have been performed in regular and due form, <br />time and manner as required by law, and the City Council is <br />now authorized to issue and sell said bonds and to levy special <br />ad valorem assessments upon the real property within the dist- <br />rict determined to be the district benefited thereby, all as <br />more particularly finally provided in said Ordinance No. 789, <br />as modified; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED and ORDERED as <br />follows: <br />1. Bond Law. The bonds to be issued shall be issued <br />pursuant to this resolution and pursuant to the Parking Dist- <br />rict Law of 1951, as modified by said Ordinance. <br />2. The Project. The public interest, convenience and <br />necessity require and the public economy and general welfare <br />will be served by the acquisition and construction of off - <br />street parking facilities, all as more particularly described <br />in Resolution No. 1808 of Intention to Form Parking District <br />in the City of Redwood City and to Issue Bonds to Pay the <br />-3- <br />
