WHEREAS, 'on the 28th day of February, 1955, Ordinance No. 789 Relating to the Formation of Parking District No. 1 was adopted; WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of May, 1955, said Council adopt- ed its Resolution No. 1864 of Intention to Make Changes and Modifications, Parking District No. 1, by the terms of which it declared its intention to make certain changes and modifi- cations in the properties proposed to be acquired, as more par- ticularly therein set forth, all in accordance with a supple- mental report showing the effect thereof upon the estimates and other data given in the original report, which original report was prepared by the City Engineer and approved by thi s Council; WHEREAS, said proposed changes and modifications were duly noticed and heard on Tuesday, the 31st day of May, 1955, at which time all persons interested were duly heard and the Council adopted its Resolution No. 1377 Ordering Changes and Modifications; WHEREAS, the City has determined the amount necessary to make the proposed acquisitions and improvements, to pay the incidental expenses in connection therewith and the proceedings therefor; and WHEREAS, all acts, conditions and things required by the Constitution and laws of the State of California and the Charter of said City, and the Parking District Law of 1951 as modified by said Ordinance, to be done, to happen and to be performed precedent to and in the issuance of said bonds, have been done, have happened and have been performed in regular and due form, time and manner as required by law, and the City Council is now authorized to issue and sell said bonds and to levy special ad valorem assessments upon the real property within the dist- rict determined to be the district benefited thereby, all as more particularly finally provided in said Ordinance No. 789, as modified; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED and ORDERED as follows: 1. Bond Law. The bonds to be issued shall be issued pursuant to this resolution and pursuant to the Parking Dist- rict Law of 1951, as modified by said Ordinance. 2. The Project. The public interest, convenience and necessity require and the public economy and general welfare will be served by the acquisition and construction of off - street parking facilities, all as more particularly described in Resolution No. 1808 of Intention to Form Parking District in the City of Redwood City and to Issue Bonds to Pay the -3-
