<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />';0/(( <br />2016 <br /> <br />REQUESTING 'l'RAFFIC SIGNALS - FIFTH AVENUE <br />AND BAYSHORE HIGHWAY, RED~vOOD CITY, <br />CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />WHEREAS the intersection of Ii'if'th Avenue land Bayshore Highway, <br /> <br />adjacent to the City of Redwood City, has been an extremely hazard- <br /> <br />QUS intersection, and <br /> <br />vvHEHEAS in the last year more than forty-nine (49) accidents <br /> <br />have occurred at said intersection, and <br /> <br />WHEHEAS said intersection affects the safety of many residents <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City and surrounding area, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS said intersection is outside of the boundaries of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />NOH, rrHEREFORE, rrHE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RED\'IOOD CITY <br /> <br />HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOvvS: <br /> <br />1. rrhat the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County is <br /> <br />hereby requested to take all necessary' action to cause the establish- <br /> <br />ment of traffic signals at the aforementioned intersection for the <br /> <br />safety of citizens of the City of Redwood City and adjacent <br /> <br />terrltory. <br /> <br />2. That the Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward <br /> <br />two certified copies of this Resolution to the Board of Supervisors <br /> <br />of San Mateo County for their attention. <br /> <br />* * * * <br />
