<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Sares Regis Group of Northern California, L.P. (Consultant) will provide consultation services <br />related to the site selection for a replacement jail for San Mateo County. The following is a list of <br />services to be performed by Consultant, or others at direction of Consultant: <br /> <br />I. Downtown Jail Site's I mpact on Residential Development <br />a. Study existing and planned downtown jail sites and impact on infill residential <br />development. This will include visits to similar sites. <br />b. Meet with Planning to discuss potential market rate and affordable development <br />sites as indicated in the General Plan, and the impact of the jail on the potential <br />for development of these sites. <br />c. Perform an economic analysis of the impact of the jail <br />d. Feasibility analysis of downtown site to work with adjacent uses in the General <br />Plan <br /> <br />II. Analvsis of the completeness of San Mateo County's Analvsis of Replacement Jail <br />Locations <br />a. Discuss jail site selection with HOK (County's architect), and other specialized <br />architects to understand the key criteria to site selection <br />b. Evaluate alternative viable sites in unincorporated San Mateo County. <br />c. Coordinate brokerage services to identify and validate alternative sites. <br /> <br />III. Retain. coordinate. and manaoe an architect and economic consultino firm or other <br />consultants to support analvses. <br /> <br />We propose to complete this scope of services over a one-month duration, for a monthly fee of <br />$23,000 plus any costs for consultants and travel outside the San Francisco Bay Area. <br />
