<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N o. 2101 <br /> <br />CO~~lliNDING THE REDWOOD CITY MERCHANTS <br />SOFT BALL TEAM OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the <br /> <br />Council of Redwood City that the Redwood City Merchants <br /> <br /> <br />Softball Team has won the California-Nevada North Pacific <br /> <br />Regional Championship Softball Tournament, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council that the Redwood City Merchants Softball Team <br /> <br />be commended for their notable and outstanding victory <br /> <br />in winning said tournament: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: <br /> <br />That the Redwood City Merchants Softball Team be <br /> <br />and they are hereby cormnended for their notable and out- <br />standing efforts in winning the 1956 California-Nevada <br /> <br />North Pacific Regional Championship Softball Tournament <br />held in Redwood City, California, and, <br /> <br />, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the Redwood City <br /> <br />Merchants Softball Team be and they are hereby extended <br /> <br /> <br />the best wishes of the people of Redwood City for con- <br /> <br />tinued success and victory in the play-offs of the World's <br /> <br />Softball Championship. <br />
