BE 1'1' RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF REDlrJOOD CITY: v-JHEREAS, on March 12, 1956, this Council received e. request dated Pebruar:r 29,1956, requesting that this Council give its consent to the commencement of annexation proceedings pursuant to the Annexation Act of 1913 to annex to the City of Redwood City all the territory designated as Highlends Terr'itory No.7 and hereinafter described, 8.nd that this Council also give its prior consent to the annexation of subdi vided territory, if any, si tua te vITi thin the above menti oned terri tory; and l~1EREAS, in accordance with Section 35108 of the Govern- ment Code of the state of California said matter has been referr'ed to the City Planning COTIIDlission. of the City of Redwood City for a report or recommendation thereon; and said City Pla.nning COIl1..mis- sion has duly submitted to this Council its reconIDlendations and report with respect to the proposed annexation to said City of the said territory; and ~ij1-IEREAS, this Council finds that it is to the best interest of the City of Redwood City and of said territory that said territory be armexed to the City of Redwood Cit:y; NOirJ, '11HEHEF01-1E, the Counc i1 of the City of RedHood Ci t~r does hereby: 1. Consent to the commencement of proceedings pursuant to the Annexation Act of 1913 to annex to the Ci t~T of Redwood City all that certain- territory hereinabove designated and hereinafter described. 2. Give its prior consent to the ffi1nexation to the City of Redwood City of any and all subd:Lvided territor-s- situate4within the said territory hereinabove designated and hereinafter described, notwithstanding that the design of the subdivision or subdivisions and the constl~ction of buildings or public improvements within it are inferior to standar'ds required by the ordinances and regulations of the City of Redwood City. 3. Declare that the territory hereinabove designated and mentioned, which it is proposed be annexed to the City of Redwood City, as aforesaid, is all that territory situate in the County of San Hateo, state of California, bounded and described as follows, to wit: -1-
