<br />KF~~W:S :ms 11-21-56 8c <br /> <br />,f <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 21$2 <br /> <br />GRANTING CONSENT OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO <br />r:pHE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO rro CONSTRUCT PUBLIC IIVlPROVE- <br />MENTS AtID TO PROVIDE THAT THE COSTS THEREOF SHALL <br />BE ASSESSED UPON A SPECIAL DISTRICT PURSUANT TO <br />SPECIAL ASSESSr~NT AND ASSESSr~NT BOND ACTS <br /> <br />BAY ROAD <br /> <br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City~ <br /> <br />California, that <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo <br /> <br />proposes to acquire and construct the following improvements: <br /> <br />(a) The improving of Bay Road from' Willow street to <br />Kaynyne Avenue by grading and the installation therein of base <br />pavement and wearing surface, together with concrete curbs~ gut- <br />ters, and sidewalks where not already existing to proper line and <br />grade~ driveway aprons~ storm sewer catch basins and manholes, and <br />the installation of sanitary sewer laterals where required. <br /> <br />(b) The installation of a water main from Charter Street <br />to \'Jillow Street, together with . fire hydrants and all valves ~ <br />fittings and appurtenances thereto. <br /> <br />(c) The acquisition of lands and easements for curb re- <br />turns at the intersections of Bay Road and Willow Street~ Charter <br />street and Kaynyne Avenue; and the acquisition of lands and <br />easements for the widening of Bay Road on the northerly side of <br />Bay Road from Charter Street westerly to the westerly terminus <br />of' construction. <br /> <br />(d) The acquisition of all lands anrl easements and the <br />performing of all work auxiliary to any of the above which may <br />be necessary to complete the same. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Board has determined that said acquisitions <br /> <br />and improvements should be made chargeable upon an assessment dis- <br /> <br />trict, the exterior boundaries of which are the coterminous ex- <br /> <br />terior boundaries as shown on the map thereof on file in the <br /> <br />office of the County Clerk; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said acquisitions and improvements are to be pur- <br /> <br />suant to appropriate special assessment anrl assessment bond acts; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a portion of the work to be done is of such char- <br /> <br />acter that it will directly and peculiarly affect property not <br />
