6.2A <br /> Page 1 <br /> r��POr�T <br /> To the Honvrable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City l�Ifanager <br /> March 22, 2010 <br /> SUBJECT <br /> Final Acceptance—2300 Middlefield Raad Construction[mprovements <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Accept, by motion, the construction improvements for 2300 Middlsfield Road (Costco} <br /> and release the bands accarding ta city procedures in accordance with the <br /> Improvement Agreement. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Qn March 10,zao8, Council approved the Agreement for constructian improvements for <br /> Costco Wholesale Carparation at 2300 Middlefield Road. The city-appro�ed permits <br /> required the developer to make street and other related improvements including paving, <br /> drainage, water, sewer, landscaping, landscape irrigation, traffic signals, street lighting, <br /> and signing and striping. <br /> The developer, Costco Wholesale Corporation, have completed the construction of <br /> improvements in accordance with the Agreement,the plans and specifications designed <br /> by Kier and Wright Engineers, and to the satisfaction of the city's Building, <br /> Infrastruc#ure,and Trar�sporta#ion Department. <br /> The developer provided a faithful performance bond and a labor and mate�ial bond, <br /> each in the amount of $818,250.40 which can be released upan receipt of a <br /> maintenance bond in the amount of$81,825.00.
