7A <br /> Page 4 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOL.UTION ADOPTING A CIIMATE ACTION PLAN FOR THE CITY <br /> 4�'REDW04D CITY <br /> WHEREAS, in Spring 2009 the City established a C(imate Action Advisory Team <br /> consisting of community members and staffed by the City's Environmental Initiatives <br /> Manager with the purpos�of crea#ing a Plan#hat would have broad community suppor# <br /> and that would identify actions that would reduce the community's impac# on ciimate <br /> change;and <br /> WHEREAS, the planning process included wide community outreach through <br /> focus groups and also the efforts of the Stanford Urban Studies students to create <br /> informationa�resources and website content;and <br /> WHEREAS, the Climate Action Plan sets a community #arget to reduce <br /> greenhouse gas emissions by 15%from today's levels by the year 2020. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CfTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1.
