The proposed Resolution will extend terms expiring
in May and June until the City Council appoints new members. The incoming members.
. once appointed, will serve for the remainder of the terms that have been extended. This
current action will also hold off recruitment for two additional Library Commission seats
added per charter amendment (November 09). As an exception, the Port Commjssioner
seats whose terms expire July 31. 2010 will be recruited for and the City Council will need
to appoint replacements. This situation is due to particular Charter language regarding the
Port Commission.

~

Jeff Ira,
Mayor, Redwood City

ATTACHMENT
1.
