<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Youth Leadership Institute <br />Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention <br />in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks <br />2009-2010 <br /> <br />Redwood City 2020 (RWC 2020) and YLI want to work together to develop long-term capacity <br />for community-based AOO abuse prevention by employing proven environmental approaches <br />and increasing protective assets for our local youth. <br /> <br />Based on research on AOO issues among youth, a community-wide assessment, and <br />information provided by San Mateo County Health System Behavioral Health and Recovery <br />Services (BHRS), the Redwood City AOO Prevention Partnership has adopted the following <br />strategies: <br /> <br />1. Increase the Community's Capacity for Prevention <br /> <br />2. Implement Individual Connectedness Strategies for Youth <br /> <br />3. Assess and Influence Existing Social Norms Strategies <br /> <br />4. Explore Access and Availability Strategies relating to Youth <br /> <br />5. Identify and Implement Supportive Policies, Laws and Enforcement Strategies <br /> <br />YLI will support this work of the Prevention Partnership by taking the following actions: <br />Implementing agreed upon actions defined in the Prevention Partnership workplan in a <br />thorough and timely manner (see Attachment A) <br />Providing RWC 2020 with timely and accurate data needed for CalOms reporting (SAH) <br />Regularly attending monthly RWC Prevention Partnership Steering Committee meetings <br />Communicating regularly with the Community Wellness Manager (Sara Randazzo) to <br />support accountability and evaluation <br /> <br />In order to develop and maintain a successful community-based partnership for the prevention <br />of Alcohol and Orug Related Problems, RWC 2020 and YLI agree to the following: <br /> <br />1. To maintain effective communication as the grant is being implemented. <br />2. To work closely to ensure an integrated delivery of services to youth, families and <br />community. <br />3. To coordinate evaluation efforts. <br /> <br />Should conflict arise in the course of implementing this MOU, all parties agree to the following <br />resolution process to maintain a focus on the goals of working together and reinforce effective <br />collaboration practices. <br /> <br />Agreement over $1 OK <br />City Attorney Approved Version 012710 <br /> <br />10 <br />
