She would like everyone to respect the <br />process and study the facts. <br />-Vice Mayor Aguirre explained that she attended the Governments Committee Meeting <br />by the Chamber and she heard a speech on biotech and how there is an interest in <br />creating a special Department within the Governor's Cabinet. She also spoke about the <br />Jobs Bill created by President Obama. She represented the Mayor at the Mayor's for <br />Meals event and she enjoyed it. She was also Principal for a day at a local school. <br />She attended the Arbor Day event where Ken Rollandeli was honored and she <br />attended another event organized by the Daughters of the Golden West and a beautiful <br />quilt representing Redwood City was presented. She announced that the San Mateo <br />County genealogical society has opened up its new headquarters at Canada College. <br />She also attended the South Bay Grand Opening and the Streets Alive event was a <br />success regardless of the rain. . <br />-Council Member Pierce announced that there might be a High Speed Rail public <br />workshop on April 29th and she said this information will be on the website. <br /> <br />10.
