<br />8A <br />Page 29 <br /> <br />Attachment #5 <br /> <br />Annual Action Plan Recommendations and Budget Sources and <br />Uses for the FY 2010-2011 <br /> <br />COMMUNITY OBJECTIVES & <br />PRIORITY STRATEGIES FY 2005-2010 <br /> <br />The goal of the City of Redwood City is to provide safe and sanitary housing opportunities in <br />suitable locations for all segments of the population. The target group to be assisted under <br />each goal is households with incomes at or below 800/0 of median income for San Mateo <br />County. <br /> <br />The City's 2010-2011 Annual Action Plan demonstrates a relationship between the <br />Consolidated Plan Priorities and activities selected for funding during the first year of the <br />Plan. The major theme of this Consolidated Plan is "Housing production and basic human <br />needs". The proposed activities) to be undertaken with CDBG and HOME funds, reflect the <br />City's strategy to target funds which integrate a continuum of activities ranging from homeless <br />assistance to economic development and permanent housing. All activities proposed to be <br />funded will meet one or more of the City's Consolidated Plan priorities. The City has <br />identified a number of programs that will be delivered under each Priority. <br /> <br />PROPOSED USE OF FUNDS For 2010-2011: The City of Redwood City, in partnership with <br />non-profit organizations and County agencies, will undertake numerous programs and <br />activities to meet the three identified Priorities of the Consolidated Plan during Fiscal Year <br />2010 - 2011. The timeline for completion of these projects and programs is by June 30, 2011. <br /> <br />FY 2010/2011 TENTATIVE FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS BY PRIORITY 1 <br /> <br />PRIORITY # 1: <br /> <br />Priority # 1 - Affordable Housing <br /> <br />AH-1: Increase the supply of affordable rental housing. <br />AH-2: Preserve existing affordable rental housing. <br />AH-3: Improve the condition of existing housing (renter and owner). <br /> <br />SNH-1: Improve housing accessibility and safety (existing and new housing). <br />SNH-2: Improve the access special needs populations have to services. <br />SNH-3: Increase the supply of affordable housing available to special needs groups. <br />SNH-4: Preserve existing special needs housing. <br />SNH-5: Increase the supply of permanent supportive housing. <br />SNH-6: Reduce overcrowding, especially among large (5 or more persons) lower <br />income households. <br /> <br />$171,886.33 HOME - Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) Set-aside, <br /> <br />1 The five priorities are listed in rank order <br />
