<br />- <br /> <br />wi"'" <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />DES:mf 11/12/80 <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />NOV 1 7 1980 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 873 9 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CONCURRING IN COUNTYWIDE EXPENDITURE <br />PLAN UNDER THE STATE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT ACT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Legislature'of the State of California has <br /> <br />enacted the Solid Waste Management Act (~68000, et seq. of <br /> <br />the Gov't. C) which provides funds to certain entities for <br /> <br />litter cleanup, l~tter law enforcement, litter education, and <br /> <br />purchase of litter receptacles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Act allows the total funds allocated for <br /> <br />expenditure within ,each county to be distributed in accordance <br /> <br />with a plan by the county and the cities and approved by the <br />county Board of Supervisors and by at least 50 percent (50%) <br /> <br />of the cities representing at least 50 percent (50%) of the <br /> <br />total population residing within the cities in the county; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an expenditure plan for Fiscal Year 1980-81 in <br /> <br />conformance with the Act has now been completed through the <br /> <br />joint efforts of the County of San Mateo and the Litter Control <br /> <br />Advisory Committee of the Regional Planning Committee (RPC) <br /> <br />of San Mateo County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed said plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby concurs in the filing of a <br /> <br />countywide application for funding under the Solid Waste <br /> <br />Management Act of 1980; and hereby certifies that it understands <br /> <br />and approves the genera~ provisions of the expenditure plan for <br /> <br />the implementatiqn of a countywide litter control program in the <br /> <br />County of San Mateo, California. <br />
