JUN 2 1980 <br /> ------- - -- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR REFOOFING OF LAKEVIEW <br />AND BREWSTER UNIT NO. 1 RESERVOIRS IN THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8566 adopted April 2, <br /> <br />1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the reroofing of <br /> <br />Lakeview and Brewster Unit No. 1 Reservoirs in the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Adams Enterprises, Inc., DBA Adams. Roofing Co., <br /> <br />San Carlos, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it <br /> <br />is the intention and desire of this Council to award the bid <br /> <br />to said Adams Roofing Co.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Adams Roofing Co. in the sum of Forty-two <br /> <br />Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-three and 41/100 Dollars ($42,943.41) <br /> <br />in accordance with bidder's proposal submitted on May 20, 1980, <br /> <br />for reroofing of Lakeview and Brewster Unit No. 1 Reservoirs is <br /> <br />hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to <br /> <br />be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br /> <br />paragraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute that certain agreement entitled "Agreement" <br />
